The Community Forest Advisory Committee (CFAC) was formed to provide the SCCF with public comments regarding the management of the Community Forest and is governed by CFAC Terms of Reference.  It is an advisory body to the SCCF only.  All decision making authority remains with the SCCF, professional foresters and other professionals hired to perform the necessary requirements of Provincial law. The role of CFAC is:

1. To provide input and make recommendations to the SCCF about the community's views and preferences regarding forest management practices, forest resource values and the operations of the SCCF in general;

2. To provide a public forum for dialogue relating to forestry issues between the SCCF and the local community; and

3. To facilitate public input, review and comment of the operational plans for the SCCF.

The public is welcome to attend all CFAC meetings.
