In the Spring of 2008, the Sunshine Coast Community Forest and a group of local wood producers presented the first ever Sunshine Coast Wood Exposition. This event showcased many forest and value added products created from our forests.

In October, 2009, the SCCF hosted a Value Added Wood Forum which was designed to bring people together who are interested in wood on the Sunshine Coast.  The Forum provided an arena to share information of the products that are available, some of the issues the wood businesses face and what forest products builders on the Coast require.  The day was a great success.
