The Sunshine Coast Community Forest hosted the third annual Wood Expo at the Seaside Center on September 16th and had record attendance of 1300. The exhibitors came from all over the lower Sunshine Coast and featured artists, wood carvers, furniture makers, a cedar strip canoe, and wooden cars. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Sechelt who provided food and drink in support of the Breakfast for Kids program in the schools. The Community Forest would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended, to the exhibitors who took time out of their schedule to be there and to the hard working volunteers who made it happen. What can be done with wood is amazing and it is everywhere in our lives.
