About the event
Our Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for the public and our shareholder, the District of Sechelt, to learn about our activities of the past year, and also to look forward with the appointment of new directors to our board. Please join us for our 19th AGM.
Guest Speaker: Andy MacKinnon
We are excited to announce our guest speaker for this year’s AGM. Andy MacKinnon is a forest ecologist, educator and author whose recent research interests include ecology of BC’s ectomycorrhizal fungal species. Andy has taught rainforest ecology field courses, mushroom identification, authored 6 best-selling books about plants of western North America, and co-authored the Royal BC Museum Handbook “Mushrooms of British Columbia.” Andy comes recommended by Laurie Kremsater, who brought up his unique expertise following discussions with local community members with a passion for harvesting mushrooms.
