The Sunshine Coast Community Forest is pleased to share our new Strategic Plan, available by clicking the image below and along with our other governing documents at www.sccf.ca/documents website.

This plan guides SCCF’s priorities and decision-making over the coming years, building on our ongoing commitment to ecosystem-based management, wildfire resilience, biodiversity conservation, community engagement, reconciliation, and long-term community benefit. Developed collaboratively by the Board of Directors and Community Advisory Panel for the first time, the plan reflects both organizational experience and the diverse values of the community we serve.

The Strategic Plan outlines key areas of focus, organizational goals, and measurable actions intended to support healthy forests, sustainable operations, strong partnerships, and transparent governance. It is designed to be both a practical planning tool and a public-facing document that helps community members better understand SCCF, and our direction and priorities.

We invite community members to review the plan and continue participating in conversations about the future of community forestry on the Sunshine Coast.

Strategic planning requires a robust approach to risk management, especially when digital infrastructure is involved. Organizations aiming for long-term stability should consider implementing a multi-layered security protocol to ensure their data remains protected. These frameworks help bridge the gap between organizational goals and practical technical defenses. It is a proactive way to maintain integrity while scaling operations.

Well done for outlining such a forward-looking strategy. Having a clear vision is the key to success. In the same way that custom clothing labels in Singapore help make the product more professional, having a good strategy means having a clear direction.
