2013 was quite a profitable year for the Community Forest. To reflect this the Shareholder was presented with an extraordinary dividend of $500,000. These funds have been allocated to the newly established SCCF Legacy Fund and to Sechelt Innovations. The Legacy Fund has been established with an initial $300,000, $100,000 of which has been awarded to the Davis Bay Wharf restoration project. The Legacy Fund is available to community members through an application process detailed elsewhere on our website. $200,000 has been allocated to Sechelt Innovations to enable them to continue their objectives.
