The Sunshine Coast Community Forest (SCCF) invites qualified, BC Forest Safe Certified contractors to submit proposals for a Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) fuel management and selective harvesting project on Block TU-5, located near the Sechelt Regional Airport.

Unlike SCCF’s traditional volume-based logging tenders, this project will be awarded on an hourly basis. The objective is stand modification and wildfire risk reduction — reducing density to 250–300 stems/ha, pruning residual trees to 3 metres, and completing debris mastication (chipping) across approximately 11.6 hectares.
Proponents must demonstrate appropriate equipment, methodology, and capacity to work collaboratively with SCCF’s Wildfire Risk Reduction crew to achieve prescription targets while minimizing soil disturbance. Evaluation will consider safety record, local employment, opportunities for shíshálh Nation members, attendance at the viewing, and overall project value.
Viewing: A site viewing will be held March 6, 2026 - meet at 9:30am at Strait Coffee.
Deadline: Sealed proposals must be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on March 16, 2026.
Tender packages are available to download upon registration here. We do not have printed copies in our office.
