The Sunshine Coast Community Forest is proud to release a new short film that shares our story of community-led forestry grounded in long-term thinking, ecosystem-based management, and local accountability.

The film explores how SCCF manages its community forest tenure with a focus on resilience across generations. Drawing on the perspectives of our volunteer directors, community advisory panel members, and local forest professionals, the film highlights SCCF’s commitment to planning for future old growth, biodiversity, wildfire resilience, and sustainable local benefits.

Community forestry isn’t just about harvesting trees — it’s about caring for ecosystems, respecting values, and creating a legacy our community can be proud of.

The film is now available to watch on SCCF’s YouTube channel and will be shared as part of ongoing community engagement around forest operations, wildfire risk reduction, and long-term planning.
